SINN TYPE XX

Gehäuse mit verschraubten Boden sowie schwarzem Zifferblatt und drei Hilfszifferblättern Type XX. 15-Minuten- und 12-Stunden Hilfszifferblätter bei 3 und 6 Uhr, das permanentes Sekunden-Hilfszifferblatt bei 9 Uhr. Die Edelstahl Lünette ist in beide Richtungen drehbar und hat ein Dreieck bei 12 Uhr und zeigt Minutenmarkierungen. Der äußere Rückdeckel ist mit Seriennummer signiert. Das Uhrwerk ist ein Valjoux 72 und unter der Unruh signiert.

SINN Type XX (Mathey-Tissot Type XX 3-Register)

The stainless steel bezel can be turned in both directions and has a triangle at 12 o'clock and shows minute markers. The outer case back is signed with a serial number. SINN Type XX

Mathey-Tissot Type XX 3-Register Dial

Mathey-Tissot begann im Ersten Weltkrieg, Chronographen - Armbanduhren an das Ingenieurkorps der US-Armee zu liefern. Auf den ersten Blick ist man erstaunt, wie sehr diese Uhr der Breguets Typ XX ähnelt. Es ist jedoch kein Zufall. Die Produktion von Breguets Uhren vom Typ XX wurde an Mathey-Tissot vergeben, der sie gemäß den Vorgaben des französischen Verteidigungsministeriums für Breguet herstellte und montierte.

Ein paar wenige dieser Mathey-Tissot Type XX konnte Helmut Sinn Anfang der 70er erwerben und montierte ein Valjoux 72 Kaliber. Das Zifferblatt erhielt das Logo der Sinn Spezialuhren aus dieser Zeit.

Mathey-Tissot began supplying chronograph wristwatches to the US Army engineering corps during World War I. At first glance, one is amazed at how much this watch resembles the Breguets Type XX. However, it is not a coincidence. The production of Breguets type XX watches was outsourced to Mathey-Tissot, who manufactured and assembled them for Breguet according to the specifications of the French Ministry of Defense.

Helmut Sinn was able to acquire a few parts of this Mathey-Tissot Type XX in the early 1970s and assembled a Valjoux 72 caliber. The dial received the logo of the Sinn Spezialuhren from this time.
